Important Enrollment Notice
We would appreciate if parents could ensure that all children are re–enrolled for 2009. Our dance school is becoming more and more popular every day, and therefore we have quite a long waiting list. We will be taking existing dancers first, followed by siblings. The remaining places will be filled by the outside waiting list. As we would love to see all students back next year, please ensure you don’t miss out --- to confirm your place simply write your name in the blue enrollment book, kept by Janine at every class. We also ask for patience while children are arranged in classes in order of age. We will be opening a new Monday class in 2009 for 5 year olds, however many of the other classes will remain fairly similar to the age set–up this year. Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you in 2009!

Concert Grand Finale Costume
It's that time of the year again... JF Studio Dancers are gearing up for the end of year concert and we have concerts on the brain! The finale is a time to let go and have fun and celebrate the year of dancing. This year's finale costume is: black on bottom - bright on top!
On your bottom haf clothe yourself in black and on top is where the party is really happening! We want to see layers! Lots of different colours, all the colours of the rainbow... fluro even!
Top Half examples: layered singlet tops (different colours), head scarfs, cropped jackets, hats, head bands, crop tops, long sleave tops, waist coats. Make sure you layer your colours and get creative with accessories!
Bottom Half examples: All things black! Tight pants, cropped pants, hot pants, tights, leggings, skirts, knee high socks... layer it up!
Remember: Keep colours plain! No logos, designs, dots or stripes. Think block colours.

Christmas Raffle
We would appreciate all donations for the Christmas raffles which are given out as prizes at the annual concert. The raffle basket will be at the door every class just begging to be filled with goodies! It would be great if every family could donate an item. Wine, non-perishable foods and Christmas items are all great prizes --- but feel free to bring something original!
Outstanding Payments
JF Studio Dancers would appreciate any term fees or dance costume moneys still owing to be paid as soon as possible. Term fees are coming in a little slow this term, and it would be great to get this wrapped up before Christmas time flies around!
Dance Concert Nibblies
As every year, it would be great if every family could bring a plate to the concert to help celebrate at interval. Fruit, biscuits, sandwiches, cakes etc are all welcome --- actually, anything yummy is fine!
2008 Concert Video
The JF Studio Dance concert will be available to watch for years to come! You may again purchase a copy for the very reasonable price of $35.00. You will receive a double pack DVD, separating the first and second halves. VHS videos are also available. Although orders will be accepted on the day of the concert, it would be appreciated if orders and payments are given to Janine over the next few weeks. Please look out for order forms going out next week. Your DVD/videos will be available to be picked up when you return to dance in 2009.

Email Addresses
Occasionally JF Studio Dancers send out information via email. These emails are generally about upcoming performances, website updates and general dance information. If you would like to receive these updates via email please contact admin@jfstudiodancers.com and let us know your: 1. email address 2. dancer's name(s) 3. parent's name. Thank you.
JF Studio Dancers Jackets
JF Studio Dancers Jackets are available to be purchased for $65.00 each. Janine will have size samples to try on at the dance hall. Money must be collected before jackets can be ordered. Please enclose the Jacket Order Form and CASH or a Check made out to CASH in a sealed envelope, labelled with the child’s/childrens’ name(s) and class(es). Jackets will be ordered in groups of 10, so there might be a slight wait for some orders.
These garments are of high-quality and can be kept for many years. It is not compulsory for all dancers to purchase a jacket, however Janine would prefer that all eisteddfod students do so. It is important to wear the jackets representing our dance school at eisteddfod competitions.
2nd Hand Dance Shoes, Leotards and Skirts
If you would like to sell your old dance wear, please print your name clearly on the item and give it to Janine. She will pay you for them straight away, and then sell them to another student. Therefore, please let Janine know when you will bring the dance wear in, so that she can have the money ready. Please note, that is service is for black leotards, skirts and shoes only. However, camel coloured shoes can be painted black. So, if you are looking to buy 2nd-hand dance wear please contact Janine.
JF Studio Dancers Beauty Tips
For any dance eisteddfod or performance, make-up is important! Follow these easy steps for the perfect stage make-up.
Top 5 Stage Make up must-haves:
1. Eyes, eyes, eyes! The most important feature on the face. The darker the better! Eyeliner, mascara and darkish brown eye shadow. Make them standout!
2. Lips! Everyone has different shades of lippy, however try to use deep/bold reds.
3. Blush. Nice rosy cheeks are always seen from stage.
4. Foundation/Concealer. Foundation not only gives a clear complexion but it keeps the makeup on the face for longer, especially after all the costume changes.
5. Glitter. Dab some on your cheekbones! Not compulsory, however looks great on stage!
If there are any changes to your class' makeup for the concert your teacher will let you know. Otherwise, follow the above and you can't go wrong!
